Volac Internal

Volac's almost 400 staff are distributed across many locations. It has offices and production facilities across the UK, Ireland and Europe and maintains joint ventures that span the US and Indonesia.

The business struggled to implement a coherent intranet platform for employees to easily access internal, strategic or operational information. Teams felt disconnected across sites and were simply not able to access materials, share knowledge or even share successes. It was having a tangible impact on employee engagement.

By combining in-house ERP modules from an IFS solution, with selected Microsoft applications, I delivered a unique platform with intranet-like functionalities.

I designed a portal with a graphic UI and built it with an in-house team of developers. It was tailored to meet the everyday needs of employees, to easily access administrative tools, news items, stories, HR systems, documents and downloadable resources in one place, for the first time.
